Michael Efron successfully completed a “Bachelor of Business Administration” at RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) in 1987, with a “Social Science” major, and then whilst he was within the Australian Public Service Departments of (State Insurance Office & The Ministry of Education) in the 1980’s he both was a research officer and a tutor of “Social Sciences”, and also “Corporate/Professional Development” modeling for Australian Public Servants.

However, he always pursued his passion of horse racing, by working within the Australian horse racing industry as a betting and financial analyst throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s.

From the 1990’s until 2005, he was conducting his own consultancy business for financial institutions, major corporations, and Government Agencies in Australia, including, but not limited to, the ANZ Bank, Westpac Bank, Melbourne Airport, Royal Australian Air Force, Melbourne University, RMIT, etc., whilst continuing his passion for all sports and in particular horse racing.

Therefore, since 2005 in Vietnam he has built long standing relationships with both local and central officials including the army which has led to “VSP” both being invited and granted this Company Licence.

In June 2011, in Ho Chi Minh City an army "medal ceremony" was held in which Michael Efron received an "honorary war medal" for 10+ years of dedicated “charity work”, rendered to the Vietnam People's Armed Forces, and was presented to him by Major General NGUYEN THE KY (Chairman of High Rank Officer’s Division), and he still continues to both support and initiate charity fund raising events for retired and disabled war veterans and ex-serviceman.

As per the RMIT and Michael Efron engagement letter dated August 8th 2017 which states that, "As a graduate of RMIT, your involvement with the reactivation project of the Capitol Theatre Melbourne is welcomed, as is your agreement to be a Champion for the Capitol Theatre", as they have also engaged Oscar winning actor and President of the AFI (Australian Film Institute), Mr.Geoffrey Rush for this reactivation project. The Capitol Theatre (established in 1927) in Melbourne, Australia was purchased by RMIT in 1999, and are now in the process of a total refurbishment of around AU$20 Million, and when completed this theatre be the focal point for the people of Melbourne and for local and international visitors to enjoy and experience film screenings, access conferences and master classes, etc.

The Michael Efron Business Scholarship has now been announced by RMIT and will be in effect as from 2018 for 3 years for an enrolled business student from country/regional areas of Victoria at the RMIT Melbourne Campus.

Michael Efron is also currently assisting with volunteering work with and for RMIT Vietnam students in the (Ho Chi Minh City Campus).
